Gros Morne National Park

We had such a great visit to the West Coast with Aunt Bren and Brian. Who could ask for better travelling mates?!
You may have seen some photos from Botwood and Leading Tickles with the crew- well this was the 2nd stage of the tour de terre neuve
We went to the Anchor Pub on Friday night at Aunt Juice and Uncle Brudy's suggestion- what a time we had! Anchor's Aweigh were playing and we got to the pub around 7pm- the show started at 9pm. I am glad we had the head's up from the Fisher's otherwise we would not have had seats!
They were hysterically funny and entertaining and performed well together. They told stories, had a running commentary to rival Robin Williams (the early years) and played a jig and a few tunes to boot.
This darling couple were up for a spin round the dance floor, four or five times- they were celebrating their 51st wedding anniversary- to be so lucky!
We arrived at the tail end of the RDF we had been experiencing in Newfoundland. Just as we crested a rise into the Park, the sun started to shine and it shone and shone for a day and a half, in time for our boat tour to finish, before coming back to RDF in time to leave....

The only moose Scott claims to have seen of the 8,000 or so in the park. We knew they were out there, Brian, Aunt Bren and I saw 3....
Scott's new addiction made for him to even photograph each Tim's we past!!
Jen being silly at Jungle Jim's in Deer Lake

See the Moose!!!! Brian and I are watching her in the distance.... really, just don't ask Scott

The lighthouse at Rocky Harbour has only one flag pole and so the signal flags as well as the Canadian flag are flown together- from memory the signal is "Lassy"

Jen waiting for Scott to get back inthe car after taking more photos

The boat tour to Western Brook Pond was sensational

Apparently "Fjord" can also be spelled "Fjiord"- sorry Brian. I made him lose Scrabble on this word alone, I am sure....

The fjord in the distance

After leaving Gros Morne, we headed to Corner Brook where I lived until I was 7 before moving to CBS. Well, after going to Sobey's (The grocery store), I would be permitted a ride on Dino.... and so this was for the good ole times....
Looking down a street in CB
The Totem Pole at Marble Mountain

Another fast blog as I am manically writing before heading to the airport.....
